I read both kinds of books, comedies and tragedies!

This list is apparently a random selection from among the books I've ever read and want to read, exported from Goodreads. There is no way to know what the selection criteria was, but from this moment forward in late 2022, I'll try to keep up on the books I read. There's no way I'm going to be accurate with the books I've read until now. Honestly, it's such a mess I should just start over, somehow.

The best of H.P. Lovecraft (Paperback, 1982, Ballantine Books) 5 stars

Kind of life changing

5 stars

This was the collection of Lovecraft stories that I read in 1992 that really and truly hooked me for life on Lovecraft. I'd read a little #Lovecraft in the late 1980s, mostly because I was fascinated with Stephen King and the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game. But, for whatever reason, didn't really get into it until after I graduated high school. From there, I was fascinated with the alt.horror.cthulhu community of fans and researchers, and TSOU (The Shadow over USEnet) was an incredible, emergent bit of research on Lovecraft works through the 1990s.

Anyway, you don't have to buy this particular edition, though the cover art is quite excellent. All of Lovecraft's works are freely available thanks to the generosity of Donovan K. Loucks.
