This book should be required reading as much of any of the great classics. It will bring you to understand not only the deleterious effects of sleep deprivation, but how good sleep grants a myriad of benefits, and how losing those benefits affect our world today.
This book tells an awesome narrative about what it's like to not only face racism in America, but having to face a bunch of magic men as well. Through several stories about one family, you will see them come together to face threat after threat. Sometimes you'll be shouting at your book about what an idiot this person is, and other times you'll be amazed by the creative solutions they find to their problems. I highly recommend this one.

At first I was going to give this book no higher than a 3.7, but as I continued with it, I became more and more interested in the characters and what they were building. At first I felt like I wasn't clued in on the plans and strategies of the characters, but despite that I still enjoyed this book.

This series has always been fun for me, and this book is no exception. Action, magic, cheesy comedy, it's just a high fantasy romp. But I do feel like this book suffered from some weird pacing, especially with the time skip near the end. Not enough to keep me from enjoying it, but I noticed it as I was reading. Overall though, it is a good LitRPG book. 4.2/5

I went into this book expecting something good, but what I found exceeded my expectations. A girl grapples against the sins of those that came before her and her loyalty to those who she holds dear.
